They came in the decade of the  coronation ..... end of food rashioning and the Suez Crisis [will write  about that  later ]....the fesival of britain ...space age buildings ..TV...MUSIC .....elvis ...buddy holly [american ]cliff ......marty wilde ..billy fury ..tommy steele...ect...they had a  wild reputation but did you know in dance halls ect they only drank coke... soft drinks... or coffee .....It was  because they were different in dress hairstyle  ect from previous teenages ...that they got the  hooligan label ....Was there teenages before the 50s ????There suits were styled on Edwardian dandies which savil row tailors introduced also were the name teddy came from short for edward ......they were all in work and Prime Minister Harold Macmillan quoted they had never had it so good"  There dress and behaviour shocked British society [god what would they think today ]hence the saying TEDDY BOYS A MENACE TO SOCIETY ..But they did form gangs in areas they lived they wore a commom uniform colour jacket or socks so they all kept to their own area   but they didnt travel around to places like  we do today   transport ect wasnt as easy to travel as today they stayed in their own area ,,,

thats when familys were familys ..rich or not so well off ..

i hadnt ...but if i had was that rude or what especially with people round ....then to add insult to injury

my turn came she said you will have to wait 20mins till i serve my customers ...i walked away ....Because it free am I not a customer ....three cheers to BOOTS for customer service ...
